Please note that I am no expert, just an enthusiast!

Mimetus puritanus spotted outside my friend's house.

Judging by its color, this spider is not fully mature.

However, I do suspect it has reached its adult

size. These spiders are incredibly small. This particular

spider was about half the size of the nail on my pinky finger

About Mimentus puritanus:

Their common name is pirate spiders. The reason for this is

that they often infiltrate the webs of spiders that are around

their own size. This is likely going to seal the fate of the

nearby orbweaver sling.
